HQ Chaos Lord- 160 - Mark of Khorne - Gift of Mutation - Sigil of Corruption - Plasma Pistol - Axe of Blind Fury Troops 20 Cultists- 90 20 Cultists- 90 10 Khorne Berzerkers- 215 - Power weapon 10 Khorne Berzerkers- 215 - Power weapon 10 Khorne Berzerkers- 215 - Power weapon Elites 5 Chaos Terminators- 235 - Mark of Khorne - Power fists - Reaper Autocannon Heavy Support Chaos Predator-140 - twin linked Lascannon - side sponsored Lascannons Chaos Predator-140 - twin linked Lascannon - side sponsored Lascannons 1500/1500 Quite a simple list, Cultists are human shields for the Berzerkers and to capture objectives, Khorne Berzerkers and the Chaos Lord are for killing things, the Terminators are to add some durability and to help hold objectives, and the Predators are for destroying Vehicles. Anything that can be made better? Please keep the suggested units/upgrades Khorne related though. I know this list isn't one the better lists around because of the limitations of the theme but i'd like to have it stand a good chance of doing well.

I think the list lacks killing power. Is there a reason you aren't fielding hell drakes? If you don't want to throw out the same list that everyone does, I totally get that. Maybe replacing the terminators with obliterators. And I don't exactly know how well predators would do... you only have two vehicles so those would get worked pretty quick. Mechanized armies tend to work better with huge armor saturation and survivable vehicles (think wave serpent spam). I like the chaos lord build, very powerful. Other than that, I would say its a decent list. I think it will do well against other lists that aren't crazy competitive.

If you want to stay true to khorne, take FMCs to kill vehicles with smash attacks.
Why not take kharn instead of your lord?
Land raiders are really the way to go with transporting berserkers. i know they're expensive, but ive heard the best results from them.

I'm also behind using Kharn. But comparing his lord side by side to Kharn... I'd say its pretty even. Kharn will have 7, s7 ap2 attacks on the charge and his lord will have 8-12, s6 ap2 attacks. (assuming he doesn't roll a 1 for the daemon weapon.) And his lord has a 4++. Also, take it from a die hard tyranid player (that typically fields 6+ MCs) that smashing is not a reliable way to deal with vehicles. It's tough to get into assault with a vehicle against a clever opponent. And I'll second going for a land raider. Knock one of you're units down to nine and run the lord with the unit and then assault out of it.

Could always try Forgefiend and Heldrakes with Hades Autocannons. That's what I plan to do. Who knows maybe when the next codex comes around the Hades Autocannon will be the must have Heldrake weapon... I think the Land Raider for your Lord and Zerkers is a good suggestion. If you plan on keeping the Terminators I'd maybe keep some of their Power Weapons.

Another thought is to get Spawn and put the Lord on a Juggernaught. That way you have a big scary coming up the board.
Without trying to sound crass, the thing this list lacks is mobility. I wouldn't want to have the Berserkers running up the board 12 inches a turn and have them get whittled down before they get there. Give people something else to shoot at!
