Hey guys, I'm a new player and I was hoping I could get some tips on a 1750 CSM army list I made

HQ
Typhus 230

Troops
x25 Cultists/Zombies 110

x7 Plague Marines w/ 2 Plasma guns 198

x7 Plague Marines w/ 2 Plasma guns 198

Elites
x3 Mutilators + MoN 178

x17 Khorne Bezerkers 333

Heavy Support
x3 Obliterators + MoN 228

x1 Defiler 195

and 2 Rhinos for dedicated transport 70

Total = 1740


Questions:
Should I deep strike typhus with the oblits and mutils
and
who should go in the rhinos/ should I use rhinos at all?

I love that fact that you put mutilators in this list. I have never seen anyone ever use them and it makes me smile just imagining the look on your opponents face when he sees them. On a more serious note what are your plans with the zerkers?

I was thinking of using the plague marines in the rhinos and running the khorne bezerkers behind the rhinos, with the zombies being used as meat shields.
I'm thinking they can use the rhinos for cover and for LOSing while moving up

or

use the cultists as meat shields just for the khorne bezerkers. and run the rhinos seperate.

Plague marines are better close combat than kzerk. Just repaint the kzerk green n call them plague marines.

What you could do if you want a CC squad is grab CSMs and give them CCW and MoK, in my opinion more value per points.
You can use the Zombies in front of your rhinos for a nice 5+ obscure save i think.

You could save some points and just take one mutilator for deep striking... Force your opponent into moving or wasting a units shots on him. Will give your rhinos one less shot against them as they move up with your marines.

your berzerkers will just get shot...I'd take something thats better at getting shot, like more zombies, or plague marines, or chaos spawn

rhinos are great, put all your PMs in rhinos.

Wow, I did not expect the Berzerker unit there. That's the one thing that stands out in your list, which looks good and pretty competitive by the way. I'll keep them as it makes your list unique. Maybe drop a zerker and buy a power weapon and melta bombs for your champ?

If you use Rhinos, I'd add Dirge Casters to them in this list. But if you deep strike your Oblits (which I would not do) then you will start with relatively few models on the table, meaning increased chances for your Rhinos to get shot. I'm not a fan of them as they give away First blood.

Better, defiler isnt great due to battle cannon snapfiring all other weapons. A landraider is a good way to use mutilators, but a better way to use zerkers which by the way are awesome and will dismantle whatever they hit. Try a 9 man squad with a dark apostle and AoBF WS 3 on the apostle is offset by rerolls, volume of attacks,and also the WS 5 of his zerker Buddy's, now say best cc unit ever. Landraider is also better antitank than a defiler on account of lascannons. Also takeing an apostle allows you to take a usable warlord trait as typhus lord of fear sucks possibly allowing infiltration shenanagens

Also I know its overused but try squese a drake in at this level or the tau players have loaded up on skyfire for nothing

I didnt see you already had oblits for anti tank. I would drop .the mutilators instead of the defiler, defilers are fun SNP cc units are not.
