Hey guys I have a chance to pick up an Armorcast Reaver titan for around $300...

I learned recently that the Dreamforge stuff is strongly discouraged at some events and also that some folks have real issues with people fielding these... I don't, but I am wondering about the Armorcast stuff in particular and if the feeling around the community is the same?

The original Armorcast Titans were licensed products from GW, and are technically counted among the Out of Production models produced by other licensed companies such as Marauder Miniatures and Citadel Miniatures (pre-GW buyout).

As such, I'd allow it.

I've never seen them turned away from an event.

I know in 4th, the rules for the Reaver included weaker guns as the armorcast one was modelled, but I doubt anybody would hold you to it.

Keep in mind, there are probably more recast Armorcast titans in circulation then legit ones.

it may be OOP but its still legitimate "gw" or subsidiary/licensed partner made,

so you are GTG with everyone I know (assuming its a game where super heavies are allowed of course)
