I recently got into X-Wing with the Target sale where I picked up two of the core sets. Feeling guilty, I also picked up the X-Wing and TIE fighter expansions from my local game store. I finally had my first game today with a coworker after work. No terrain (since it was our intro game), but we did use the full rules since my opponent's pretty used to miniature wargames.

I took the Imperials, while Rob (my coworker) had the Rebs.













Rob got the first two kills of the game, vaping both of the Obsidian Squadron pilots. Over the course of the game my TIEs wore the X-Wing's shields down, and eventually both the Red Squadron pilot and his Rookie student bought the moisture farm. I'm definitely getting more interested in the game, and I'm going to have to pick up some of the other ships to really get some variety going.

Cool first game , I might steal the black fabric idea until I can either print out a board to play on or decide on a battle mat. What I want is a 4'x6' mat and I've seen the Design I want it in, but he's a British seller and won't ship that size to th states . I might just spray paint my board black and then mist some stars on top.
