So kinda dissappointed that the deathleaper is a HQ and not an elite, but oh well.

Beginning to favor list 2, only because I feel the -D3 to leadership to a key enemy psycher is too valuable not to use. Really hate only having one flyrant, and I miss armored shell, but oh well.

I used Tyros in the last book, miss the ability to fire 3 weapons including the thorax swwarm, but will happily accept the massive point drop. Have used them in a few games now and absolutely love them. Catalyst on them is stupid, and 3 of them just terrifies infantry armies without mass ap2.

Been leaning away from the deathleaper, I like using him to nuke psychers, but he is just so easily removed by soo many things like smart missiles and serpent shields...

The plus side about the DL is that he isn't psuedo-guaranteed to join the battle T2 anymore (because of reserve bonuses).

If you are really only taking him for the -D3 to LD, he's expensive, but don't hesitate to, if he successfully arrives T2, to DS behind LOS terrain and just leave him there. No one ever said he HAS to fight and die.

Tis true, and there arent tons of Tau players in my usual meta, but SMS does kinda ruin his day... Im just not sure that -D3 is worth 130 points of something that usually wont fight and takes the place of a Tyrant...
