My FLGS is doing an Tourney in February that I am planning on taking my SM bikes to.

Also looking for just advice on the list in general and any strategy tips as this will be my first Tourney with them.

Also not convinced on the Tau allies. Think maybe all marines might be better.

Not too bad... I wouldn't do tau allies personally! Drop another thunder fire cannon in, or maybe ravenwing allies with scout snipers, a Libby on a bike and black knights.

Question - have you pointed your chapter master properly? I'm pretty sure the shield eternal, bike, thunder hammer art armour combo is 250pts?

Your right. My math was way off.

But this my new list, and I still have 270pts. I am thinking either another bike squad, or maybe some DA allies for a Libby to go with the Centurians and a squat squad.

It has a much nicer shape too it I think, DA Libby's are good with divination, and if you want to sit him with the cents then take him with termie armour and a power field generator giving those cents a 4++ save that they so desperately need. You could fill the DA troops with sniper scouts to be able to dish out wounds on anything on a 4+

Here's my idea for your points-

Librarian, mastery level x2, power field generator, terminator armour 160 points
Scouts x7 with cam cloaks and sniper rifles - 98 points

That leaves you with 12 points to spend and makes those cents uber tough!

What about some SW allies? A rune priest or 2 with a squad of podding Grey Hunters?

But dark angels get the power field generator, giving the cents much better survivability! Pretty important for his most expensive unit!

Your right. Both have there merits, but the invo is really really imortant on the cents

I don't know why your not taking a bike command squad with 5 grav guns, just seems too good to mis out on, + in1750 why not another chapter master on a bike, tanking wounds or looking out the ones you don't want to take?

He needs a captain for that. Chapter masters can't take command squads!

I second command squad with grav. Those things put out a ton of damage.
