Hi. This is the list I've been working on. There are two versions, one for 1500 points, and the other for 2500 points. My main opponent plays Tau, and I know that she will almost always be running 1-2 riptides and 4-6 broadsides.

Hive Tyrant - 270 pts
- Reaper
- OA
- Desiccator Larvae
- Wings

2 x 20 Hormagaunts - 160 pts x 2
- Toxin Sacs

30 Termagants - 160 pts
- 10 Devourers

Tervigon -220 pts
- Miasma Cannon

5 Tyranid Warriors - 240 pts
- Venom Sacs
- 2 Boneswords
- 3 Rending Claws
- 4 Deathspitters
- Venom Cannon

2 Carnifexes - 290 pts
- Stranglethorn Cannons
- TL Deathspitters

At 2500 pts, add:

Hive Tyrant - 235 pts
- Maw Claws
- TL Devourer
- Desiccator Larvae
- Wings

10 Genestealers + Broodlord = 240 pts
- Toxin Sacs

30 Termagants - 160 pts

- 10 Devourers

20 Gargoyles - 160 pts
- Toxin Sacs

Tyrannofex - 205 pts
- Rupture Cannon

Any C&C is appreciated

now this is just my opinion, I have only played a handful of gmaes with the new codex, but with how tau work and how fragile most of our units are I honestly dont think we will stand much of a chance against tau without anything deepstriking. one of the guys in my group plays tau and my current list has 3 trygons in it. I feel 3 trygons poping up then 2 flyrants swooping in is so much to deal with all at once itll be hard to pick what to shoot then the rest will much their army to bits and pieces.

What if I replaced the tervigon and gargoyles with a trygon prime with miasma cannon and a unit of 4 raveners with rending claws and deathspitters? The trygon being a prime is mainly so I don't lose a synapse or the miasma cannon... and having synapse in the enemy backfield would be useful...

Although, deep striking might be a problem since I know she's a fan of the early warning override... a nova charged ion accelerator might ruin the trygon's day... and mine.
