Another commission model! A good work up to the trio of jetbikes I have on my plate for the next round of paint and a nice break from all of the Space Marines I usually end up painting!
This model started off a lot differently than it ended up. I had planned to work the whites using a sepia wash and work up, but for some reason the warm colors just didn't fit the model, and the other warm tones on top of the white weren't working for me either. So I scrapped the idea and moved back to a lot of the same paint colors I used on a Harlequin model for the same friend.
If you're interested in knowing colors and the like used check out the blog post here.

Perfect paint-job, sir! Unusual colour-style for Eldar, at least, I haven't seen it yet. I really am loving the style. You have some awesome skills!
Kind regards,

I've not seen anything from you in ages GD, looks really nice its a nice contrast with the dark metallics and whites and purples.

Thanks Gents!
I really like the idea of the brooding alien with the Eldar. Not quite sinister or malicious like the Dark Eldar, but just alien enough that you don't consider them 'happy fun allies'. The idea that these xenos could turn on you at any moment appeals to me greatly, and I have been using that as a guide for these Eldar commissions. And in fact I'll be switching my own Eldar forces over to this darker look.
GiraffeX, I've been slowly getting myself back into the hobby with little one off models like this, hopefully it means a lot more paint down the line

The colors are a bit monochrome for my tastes, but the paint job is awesome. The robe looks great, good choice going for the cool tones.
