There has been alot of discussion relating to the drop in GW stock prices. Some of the GWs decisions look questionable at best. However, other decisions look not so bad, or even good. For example, GW is embracing the digital culture which they had avoided for so many years. They are now releasing digital codicies, and dataslates. (People can complain that these items are not free. However, 40k codicies have never been free. Further, many companies that had free online content are now charging money.) The decision to go digital is certainly a good one.

GW has made changes that are in line with customer complaints. For example, people complained the the digital codicies were only available for Apple products. GW released e-book versions of them. People complained that the FAQs were out of date. GW started updating is FAQs more frequently, sometimes shortly after a codex release. (People can say that such updates should not be needed then. However, other companies such as Mantic, which are known for good rule sets, need rules FAQs shortly after release.)

Even some of GWs unpopular policies may be very good for business as a whole. There has been alot of complaining regarding the higher prices in Australia. It is an unfair policy to be sure. However, there must be reasons for it. It may be GWs way to investigate price elasticity. With substantially higher prices there, they can better determine an optimal price globally.

GW has even given us savings in the form of the big mega deals they have released. Some of the nid things went down in cost.

With all of the cuts that GW has made, they are still producing very high quality models. The most recent Space Marine models are outstanding.

GW seems to be making at least some decisions that are good. Some of these are also good for gamers.

The share price was largely based on lack of debt in 2008 combined with consistent dividends.

Good business decisions don't lead to massive revenue decrease and overnight stock tumbles. It's also generally agreed that giving up market share isn't the best thing in the world for your company.

Most companies are looking to grow, not shrink. If we assume that GW is one of these companies who like making more money, instead of less, whichever business decisions Kirby has made have led to the opposite of what is desirable, and thus are, by definition, bad business decisions, not good.

Even if you are sincerely looking for discussion, with that thread title you can only possibly draw negative responses.
