Well the major thing I see is having your Nobz in a trukk. Either give em the burnas' BW or get rid of something else to give yourself a fourth BW.

Nobz must have klawz. 20 boyz with a pk nob or mnobz/nobz with boss are really the only truly effective thing except for nob bikers that we got yet.
Burnas are generally a waste though. If possible - convert them in more boyz or at least lootas.
I bet you got a bunch of regular nobz, right. So that's what works for me:

5 nobz [1 pk, 1 ha, 1 bp]
+painboy [grot orderly]

sitting in a wagon with megaboss. That's not a very expensive squad but they do work and they're amazing vs grav spam unlike mnobz. Also, they're more durable to shooting cause of fnp. If you want - give them cyborks but i'd rather spend points elsewhere.

Also i got rid of deffrollas. Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that u'll but them to use now. With all that premeasurement and ammount of things that are too fast for you to catch them. Just a ramp is doing fine usually. Though the possibility to threaten a landraider with just u'r wagon is great. So deffrollas are debatable.

While power klawz on nobz that lead wagonboyz are mandatory. Also, i prefer puting a bigshoota on a nob also. Yep, he becomes even more attractive to barrages and precision shots but you get precision shots yourself and free a shootaboy.

Both of the above posts are good advice.

If your spamming AV14, then *spam* AV14 - don't waste time with a trukk!

If you want to cheap out on the rollas, consider a plank. Generally does more damage, and costs 1/4 as much points, with the downside that it only does damage if your dudes are inside the vehicle

I've never played grav spam so I don't know about trading MANz for Nobz, but if you do, consider a WAAAGH banner to bring our bosses up to a reasonable WS

kooaei has nailed it with the Nobs... always give mechanized nob leaders a klaw, always. I'd also never considered that a big shoota on the Nob 'frees up' a shoota boy, giving you even more bang for your buck

Personally I'd ask myself if I really need that aegis and especially that flak turret. Swapping the aegis for a void shield could be a hell of a boon, and area terrain is 90% as good as an aegis and costs nothing

@kooaei and Dakkamite: Nobz can't take big shootas in the boyz mobs unfortunately.

However, I've been considering dropping the rollas. It's just a bummer. I mean, it's d6 S =10 auto hits and re-rolls D-terrain tests for 20 points is rad. Guess it doesn't matter when your boyz don't make it accross the board and the rolla turns into debris.

So by subtracting 60 pts from the 3 BW and another 10 from subtracting the big choppas that's 70pts to play with. Adding a plank and a ram is 10x3 plus a PK on the two nobz is 50 is 80. So to replace Deffrollas I'd need to come up with 10 pts elsewhere.

PKs on a nob are only +2S compared to a boss at +3. It's a calcuated choice to go with the choppas. Hasn't made a difference really since they've been cut down every game anyway.

I can't take void shields in this tournament, and I'm still unsure on the blast ruling. With 2 full squads of lootas an ADL seems resonable and the reach of QG with grots make me want to keep that.

But you guys are DEFINATELY advising coming up with another Battle Wagon over the truck for the megas and the boss?

I could drop the Truck for 35 and the 3 rollas (but adding a ram) for another 45 totaling 80 points. Now 20 points from where? Take off all the kombi skorchas or Fighta Ace and something else? Grots?

Why have a BW if it has no DR? Dump the burnas, buy BW for the MNobz.

I wouldnt drop the deff rollas, even with premeasuring you will still be able to tank shock in just about every game. If you are going to keep the burnas they need atleast one Mek model so your flamers can kill more models.

I dunno. Truks have traditionally been used for the MANz missle... I haven't had a chance to play one since I just now got my Megas painted up. I'm thinking if I have first turn, they can be to mid field on hammer and anvil if they flat out or kissing the opponents deployement zone on Vanguard or Dawn of War. Who cares if blows up in their faces?
