I've got a Revilers army in need of a decent jump pack captin, current contenders are the Lord Executioner and Gabriel Seth. While the former will be a straight paint up, Seth will need some converting.

My question is how much work would Gabrial Seth need to reduce him to a run of the mill Chapter Master, so no Flesh Tearers icons, or fancy wings, and would his pose leave room for a jump pack? His beastly Eviscerator would be perfect for the Teeth of Terra, so that must stay, and finally, is his head a seperate piece, or is it moulded in place (is so, would removing it cause much damage?)

Thanks for any help!

Without owning the model, I can tell you it shouldn't be too difficult. Scraping/sanding off the icons will be a doddle due to the resin being soft like sandstone, there should be room for a jump pack of any kind (either the standard or the SG ones), and I'm pretty sure the head is moulded into the body, but should be easy enough to drill out

He's got quite a bit of FT iconography on him. He has FT symbols on his left pauldron, chest, and right knee. He has chalice on his left shin and one dangling from a chain around his chest. The right pauldron has an angel and it's edge is toothed like the saw blade FT symbol. His cape, back pack and halo are all one piece. There's an FT symbol on the back pack too. Some of them are raised details that could be filed off. The one on knee is cut into the knee pad.

His head is molded in place. If you got a finecast version it should be easy to snip off, but it will probably take some work to make it look good. If you ditch the cape and back pack his pose will take a jump pack. The blood reaver chainsword and arms are a single piece.

I could probably make do with the head, maybe mould a mohawk on as is the fasion among my marines. I would pick up a Finecast one so removing some details should be relatively simple. However the tooth patterned pauldron could be tough to get around.

I'll try finding one to have a look at in person maybe before taking it on, failing that I'll go for the Executioner.

thanks for the detailed run down of icons, i couldn't find good quality 360 images myself.
