You can field a second primary detachment from the same codex if you are playing 2000+ points, You would have 2 HQ slots and and 6 troops slots in each detachment. In each of those detachment 1 HQ and 2 troop choices are compulsory . So your force would have 2-4 HQ slots and 4-12 troop slots all from the same codex.
