It's kind of the point of this squads conversions though. I have other raptors that are all by their lonesome, but they are boring.

the head conversion was really effective in linking them with IW's

Yeah not that fond of crusade armour, but the helmets scream Iron Warriors.
Others used are from the breaching squad, Iron armour, and IW upgrade pack.

Nice one. Cinematic, disturbing and a certainly some "edge".

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair. - Douglas Adams

Disregard the haters. These are amazing. I haven't seen so much pwnage in one squad in forever. Each one is more amazing than the last. Totally hilarious and awesome all at once.

Thanks for all the compliments here guys, really motivates me to do more crazy stuff like this.
As for how the gores done, there are some WIPs in my blog (link in my sig) so take a look and leave a comment.
Its all done with green stuff and sort of dentist pick tool with a wire base for the decapitation and melta gunner.
Basically just blob the green stuff where the wound is and start picking and tearing at it with the pick tool in the direction you want the spray to go.
Then its painted with varying reds and shades and finished off with a healthy coating of Tamiya clear red (leaves a slightly glossier and gorier finish than blood for the blood god.)

I will try do a step by step tutorial when I do the champion.
Just need to decide weather to give him a combi melta and lighting claw or plasma pistol and power weapon.
What do people think?
