Both come to exactly 2500 points, any thoughts on the lists?

Over 500points on hqs and no reall good ones, you need more taqs more sterns more drop pods.

If I were you I d take 4 taqs and two sterns maybe assult marines, all in drop pods,

I only own the three drop-pod models.

also I think the Hq's on the first list are not that bad. Tigerius is there for reserve manipulation/ reliable powers to throw around.
Calgar is there to make the entire army virtually fearless, and gain the old combat tactic back. The dark angel one is to throw around the invul save and buff the centurions.

The Hqs may not be beat sticks but they support the army and apply force multipliers to the force.
