So I got a bunch of Blood Crushers on the cheap, and I've started attaching Nobz to them to use as Nob Bikers, as well as giving said Nobz various tentacle arms and other mutations (as well as huge goddamn axes)

However, I can't stand the idea of having such a conversion and not coming up with some rules for using it in fluffy/campaign games. Heres what I have in mind, I'd appreciate any ideas or input as the idea seems incomplete so far

I'm also not 100% set on the name. Possibly they could be called "Bloodcrushaz" or something

Khorne Bloodridaz
~FoC: A mob of Khorne Bloodridaz uses up an Elites slot. In addition, they count as Desperate Allies with regards to the rest of your army - even Orks think these guys are a bit too bloodthirsty

Bloodridaz;
WS 4, BS 2, S 4, T 5, W 3, I 3, A 4, Ld 7, Sv 6+ (5+)

~Points Cost; 55 points per model
~Unit size: 3-10 Bloodridaz
~Unit Type; Cavalry
~Wargear; Slugga, Choppa, Bloodcrusher mount
Their mount confers the Cavalry unit type, +1 Toughness, Wounds, and attacks, as well as the "Daemon" special rule and a 5+ invulnerable save, which have all been incorporated in the units stats
~Special Rules; Mob Rule, Furious Charge, Mark of Khorne (Rage, Counterattack), Daemon, Hatred (Daemons of Slaneesh, Mark of Slaneesh)
~Wargear Options; As Nobs, see codex: Orks, with the exception that they may not take a Warbike or Painboy

For pricing, I took Nobz (20pts) and added Bloodcrusher mounts by deducting the cost of a Bloodletter from that of a Bloodcrusher from codex; Daemons of Chaos. I'm worried they may be overpriced though - they cost the same as Biker Nobz, but trade the awesome dakkaguns for a modest increase in close combat and durability. Then again, its always a trend for people who create units to underprice them...

I've also been considering adding mutation tables to the unit, by simply borrowing the one that possessed marines can use. What would dakka reckon for a price increase for these units?

Also, as a Painboy wouldn't make much sense in this unit, I'm trying to think of rules for some sort of Khornate Weirdboy or shamanistic healer. I also have a Bloodboss modeled whose rules will depend on what the Bloodridaz end up getting.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Give them the option for Hellbades as +10pts, remove any ranged weapon options, and buff their weapon skill to 5? That would fluffify them enough for me.

As for a Painboy, you could rule it that the entire unit gets feel no pain and his cost is split across the unit. I.e, if he costs 30pts (just a guess) make it +3pts per model? Enraged robot rhino-riding killing machines are not noted for their ability to feel pain.
Sounds like a cool plan though.

Yeah he costs exactly 30pts lol. However +3pts would be too cheap, as its both representing the maximum potential ability to share the price (ie, 10 man unit) and also lacks a single character to kill and remove. In a case like this I'm inclined to double the price, rounding to +5 because I like nice and neat pricetags like that where possible.

I'd be down for removing ranged options, bar one... the kombi-skorcha. I absolutely love this weapon and really enjoy using it. Perhaps it could be re-fluffed as "Khornate fire breath of rage" or something instead? Perhaps one use per unit destroyed instead of simply one use - so cannot be used until these fellas wipe out an enemy, but the potential to use it multiple times should they go on a rampage?

As much as I'd love AP3 (and it would be fluffy here) I'm worried that it would be too much. They're already tossing out 27 S5 attacks on the charge, if you add AP3 to that they become terrifyingly effective marine mincers. At the same time, Hellblades are *the* weapon for Khornes rank and file, so it seems stupid for them not to have them

No opinion on adding random mutation tables?

Cheers for the input mate

Don't think they must have fnp but what about getting a 4+ armor - they'll still be downed by ac and hb but will at least have a bit better protection in mellee. So what about:

WS 5, BS 2, S 4, T 5, W 3, I 3, A 4, Ld 7, Sv 4+ (5+)

Point cost: 45 pts per model

Wargear: Choppa, 'eavy armour, Bloodcrusher mount

May take a Spikey pole (=bosspole) for +10pts
May replace a Choppa with a Hellchopa which is ap3 for +15pts or a Spikey choppa (=bigchoppa) for +5 pts
NO power klawz and slugas for dem! Orkse's teknology ain't gona work!

~Special Rules; Mob Rule, Furious Charge, Mark of Khorne (Rage, Counterattack), Daemon, Hatred (Daemons of Slaneesh, Mark of Slaneesh)

Now that you look at them - they're great! But since they can't be joined by any indep - they can't get a force multiplier unlike spawns that are also t5-6 and fearless.
Also, no power klawz and sluggas will limit their strength once again. On table, they'll be slightly better than mediocre and noone will mind i guess. Sure, there are issues with survivability and leadership but if they manage to get close and personal - oh boy, they'll stomp some eadz!

So a squad of 6 will cost:
270 + 10-20 for poles + 15-30 for Hellchoppas and +5-10 for Spikey choppas = 300-330 pts total.
