Hey all... I was wondering if you could give Killa Kans the 5 point "Turbo Boosta" upgrade for the xtra D6" in the movement phase... the Ork Dex (although i don't have it with me), states that it's a vehicle upgrade (and Kans do count as a vehicle), and that the only upgrades Dreadnaughts can take are the ones with the asterisks (but it doesn't mention anything in regards to Kans)... anyone have any thoughts on this?

It´s not legal, check the Ork FAQ...

The secret is: shelve the Orks until the new codex comes out. They're fighting uphill as it is, and the scattered rules don't help.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Thanks Elaric... that sounds like a good idea... just that it's difficult to find all this stuff... and searching SEEMLINGLY ENDLESS forumns to get a quick answer such as this sometimes seems like it's more trouble than the points in question are even worth... Lord_sutekh... it's only army i have  me and 2 friends picked up the game last november... i went Ork, and my buddies got IG and Choas... and to be honest with you, i didn't want to take one of the three "popular good guy" choices ( IG, SM, Tau), my friend took Chaos so that was out (didn't want the same army as a buddy) both Eldar didn't fit my styles it was between the Orks and 'Nids... i went Ork b/c there seemed to be WAY too many low cost / low effective models in 'Nids...... but looking at the bright side... i can learn how the Orks play now... then just mod my play style with the new 'dex......... at least i'm getting a grasp on the game then it's just a matter of getting used to a few new rules...

The new dex is coming out in about 3 - 5 years. Or so it seems.
But yeah kans count as dreds.

i suppose some point costs go down in the new codex(as orks arent very cost effective or not effective at al, but still fun to play  die grot die)
