Sooo...another thread about low points, special rules minitourney... Rules are no vehicle with side armor 13+, only one vehicle with front armor 13+, 1 flyer or flying MC, max 2 MC with T5+. And no fortifications, so no Aegis. That means no LRBT. So fat I had to drop my stormtroopers (sob) and decided to switch Vendetta for Valkyrie. I think that with much meltas and two lascannons Im capapable to drown vehicles in fire without Vendetta. On the other hand, Valkyrie can provide solid anti-infantry fire, especially with HB spontons (and it saves 20 pts).
So far result is...
CCS + vox + MoO + mortar
PCS + chimera + 4x flamer
Infantry Squad I 50 – vox, commisar, lascannon, melta
is in blob with
Infantry Squad II – lascannon, melta
Veteran Squad I – chimera, 3x melta
Marbo
Basilisk
Valkyrie + HB
Strategy is to drop pieplates with basilisk, MoO (with emperors luck blessing) plus maybe some annoyance with CCS mortar (CCS stays back and shout orders) and of course Marbo one-man-hit, Blob stays back and provides meatshield to basilisk, PCS with flamers and meltavets surge in chimeras forward and pray. After that arrives Valkyrie with the right OST playing on background (optional). But...I fear that against some armies my army, not staying in reserves, can be pretty much anihilated on first turn fire.
So...Im thinkin about swapping valkyrie for hellhound and bring him with meltavets from reserves...or put meltavets into valkyrie, save points from one chimera and maybe buy another platoon...?

Looks pretty solid given the conditions, you don't have a bad unit in there at all.
However, there are a couple of changes I would suggest if you have the models. Firstly, I'd drop the Chimera on the PCS and put them in the Valk, which is currently unoccupied. The CCS should more than cover any orders needs. This also frees up 55 points (maybe another naked infantry squad for scoring), and gives you another fast, scoring unit.
I'd also swap out the bassie for a couple of Griffons (squadron or solo). At 850 and with those limits, large amount of the opponent's army will probably be infantry and light vehicles, both of which the Griffons can deal with better than a lone bassie. You get 2x the number of large blasts, better accuracy, and are just as effective against any infantry that isn't T5 or 3+ save. Griffons murder the likes of tau and cron warriors, and at this low points level being able to take out troops early on will be a major advantage. It also gives more armour saturation and will work very well in this situation, where there's less chance to bring (typically expensive) outflank/DS units. With any luck, they'll be able to sit in cover and lob shells all game.
A Hellhound is again a nice option (And pairs nicely with the melta-vets), the only problem is it leaves you very light on anti-flier if you drop the Valk. If you see a lot of fliers then stay with the Valk, if not then throwing in a hound might be nice.
Hope that helps.

Oh, it really helps! Idea with PCS in Valkyrie is great, thank you! For basilisk, so far I have only Basilisk, Gryphons are in my "what to buy and assemble" part...so not an option now, unfortunately, because I love those cheap bombards For the hellhound...yeah, Im afraid of flyers a little bit. Hellhound would certainly give me hell of a punch, but without valkyrie...heh, I like low cost builds, its so much about micromanagement
Thanks again!
