Hey guys, just saw this played today and was very surprised by the results this list had. Not only did this army beat down a Mech Eldar Waveserpent Spam list, but it also munched its way through some Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines today and after seeing it in action was tempted to try it out. They were playing at 2000pts. So I wanted to see what you guys thought and thanks for posting!

Tactics:

-Very simple, Carnifexes form a wall with a Venomthrope Directly behind them to block LOS to it while giving cover save buff. All the little bugs swarm behind all spread out. Each Dakkafex unit puts out a whopping x36 Strength 6 shots a turn and being Twin Linked really goes a long way. The Zoanthropes and Tyranid Warriors provide Synapse along with the Flytyrant who handles any flyers they may come across.

Looks cool

You're quite low on Synapse though the Fexes will provide a distraction.

It might be worth it to spread the Zoanthropes out to 3 squads of 1, rather 1 squad of three. That way you can spread your synapse out more and have some overlap.

Needs moar Synapse. Decrease the Hormagaunt brood sizes a little and get more Zoanthropes/Warriors or whatever.

Maybe try to fit another flyrant in there?

Also instead of 2 broods of 3 carnifex's how about 3 broods of 2, they can still get venom cover and can split fire a bit more
