Hello once again guys. Basically I am new to Warhammer 40k and have been playtesting list after list for the past few months now and think I have put together a list that is both fluffy and decently competitive. I am a big fan of Mech Infantry and it is the theme I am going with for my army, either out of the standard SM Codex with Iron Hands Chapter Tactic, or out of the new Imperial Fists Supplement as their "Bolter Drill" effects all Bolt weapons, including those on vehicles if I am not mistaken. Anyways this is another attempt at putting a list together so please tell me what you guys all think!

For a beginner, bravo on your list making. It isn't what we would dub "top tier" but you certainly have the tools to win with consistency. Your have different types of units to help you learn the game as well. Good luck. I'm sure there are some threads in the tactics forum that you can read.

Personally on the Chapter Tactics, call me old school but Iäd go with good ol' Ultramarines. They're versatile and later on once you diversify your models, get you access to Tigurius haha.

Thanks, I should clarify Im not new to the game itself but new to 6th edition lol, so I have some idea what to do when it comes to lists . Ill be honest more and more I am leaning towards the "Sentinels of Terra" Supplement and the Imperial Fists, I made another list with the Sentinels in mind, what do you think is it better then the one above in regards to both competitive play and fluff? Also changed the title to help with tactical thoughts!

The second list definitely feels more like the Imperial Fists, and probably would be more competitive then the first one. I like it you are using Whirlwinds, most underrated vehicle in the game I think and it would give fits to all the Gunline Tau and IG armies that are out there today. Maybe think about adding some more anti vehicle weaponry but with x6 Centurions I think you should be okay, like the look of this list but also remember some people are anti double FOC so be aware of that!
