Hi guys,

Just brainstormed this idea recently and wanted to share it with the Dakka community.
Please feel free to offer suggestions and constructive criticism.

Please note this is hopefully a similar format to the current Supplements rather than a themed Army List.
Assume everything is the same as the Codex unless stated otherwise.

Let us get started.

[Updates]:
Spoiler:
u1- Changed Destroyer Body points cost from 20/10 to 10/5 resepectively
u1- Allowed Destroyers to be taken as Troop choices

u2- Increased the amount of Warriors and Immortals that may be upgraded with Destroyer Bodys from 5 to 10
u2- Added some Relics

Army Wide Special:
Destroyer's Protocol- All models with Reanimation Protocol but without Preferred Enemy gains Preferred Enemy(Everything) at +2pts per model. Characters pay +5pts per model instead.
Destroyer Body- Selected units may be upgraded with a Destroyer Body gaining +1T and changing type to Jump Infantry.

Warlord Trait:
1 - Neverending Massacre: You may re roll the dice to see if the game has ended. You may re roll every time the dice roll has determined the Game has ended.
2 - Death Has Come To Your World: Units in reserve may attempt to Deepstrike in the first turn on a 5+.
3 - Blood WILL Flow: The Warlord and all units within 12" have Crusade USR.
4 - MEGA Kill: The Warlord and his unit gain Rage and Furious Charge USR.
5 - To Slay A God: The Warlord has Fleshbane and Smash USR against Characters and all forms of Monstrous Creatures.
6 - Till The End Of Existence: The Warlord has It Will Not Die USR.

Necron Trinkets (Relics): (Will add fluff, hoping for maximum 10 Relics)
Staff of Annihilation: 30 points. **Contributed by Furyou Miko
Spoiler:
Ranged: Rng 24", S7, AP4, Assault 4, Tesla, One Shot only
Melee: Rng - S User+2, AP1, Melee, Armourbane

Core Strain: 45 points. **Contributed by Furyou Miko
Spoiler:
The Destroyer Virus is particularly close to its original code in this Necron. The bearer gains Eternal Warrior and a 4++ invulnerable save.

Disruptor Field: 30 points. **Contributed by Furyou Miko
Spoiler:
The bearer is equipped with a powerful field emitter similar to the ones found on Lychguard shields. The character and any unit he joins has a 4++ invulnerable save from ranged attacks and reflects successfully saved shots upon an enemy unit within 6".

HQ Changes:
- No Unique/Special Characters.
- Destroyer Lord also unlocks Royal Court.
- Crypteks are Unavailable.
- In addition to their own upgrades, Necron Lords can purchase any 1 upgrade from the Cryptek wargear without needing to purchasing the appropriate Harbringer weapon. Exchanging their Staff of Light is also considered an upgrade. No duplicate items allowed in the same Royal Court.
- Necron Lords may also be upgraded with Destroyer Body at +10pts/model

Elite Changes:
- No Triarch Praetorians nor Triarch Stalkers.
- Deathmarks and Flayed Ones do not get Destroyer's Protocol

Interesting Idea, but destroyers are gonna make for a VERY hard list to run. 18 point warriors are not gonna make their points back unless their guns get upgraded as well.

Alternatively, you could have destroyers recosted slightly, and moved to a troops choice.

Bedouin Dynasty: 10000 pts
The Silver Lances: 4000 pts
The Custodes Winter Watch 4000 pts

This sounds like the simplest and best way to go about this.

Love the warlord traits btw

@iGuy91: Points reduced, was 25 pts actually but good point. Just compared them to Tomb Blades and realised the Warriors would cost more and do less.
I have thought about giving the Warrior's and Immortal's Gauss weapons Assault 2 but I am trying to Supplement things rather than change them.
Maybe allow 2 models to upgrade to Gauss Cannons?

@Dakkamite: Thanks! Took me a while to work out an appropiate name for each result

Regarding the actual Destroyers, allowed them to taken as FA or Troops.
Personally, I think the reason we do not see much of them is because of better FA options.

I love the idea!

Much room for changes, additions, tweaks and balancing, but definitely a great start.

Might want to give the Destroyer Lords the ability to take Phase Shifters (or to remove it from the regular Lords), otherwise it makes for a fairly silly situation where the lesser Lords have better gear...

I would love to play a squad of 10 Destroyerguard with a pair of decked out Destroyer Lords and a pair of decked out... Destroyerlords ( )... attached!

10 models with Sv3+/4++ and 2 S5 AP3 attacks each and 4 models with Sv2+/3++, 2 with 2 S7 AP1 armorbane attacks and 2 with 3 of them and 2 extra wounds, all being jump infantry with WS/BS4 S5 T6 and 4+RP, and on top of that there's 4 MSS and two chronometrons to make things REALLY nasty!

All for the paltry price of 1370pts!

6,000pts (over 5,000 painted to various degrees, rest are still on the sprues)

If you put Destroyers in Troops and Fast Attack, nobody will ever take Immortals or Warriors with Destroyer Bodies.

I suggest you leave Destroyers as Fast Attack, and make the Immortal/Warrior upgrade only 4 points - Space Marine Bikes get used, after all, and they just have basic weapons, +1T and double movement. Also, potentially, remove Night Scythes as dedicated transports because the Destroyer virus makes the units too impatient to get into the fray to help balance the cost.

Love the warlord traits.

Relics... hmm.

Staff of Annihilation: 30 points. Has two profiles:

Ranged: Rng 24", S7, AP3, Assault 4, Tesla
Melee: Rng - S User+2, AP1, Melee, Armourbane

(notes: It's an AP3 Tesla Destructor that can also be used as a Warscythe. The Warscythe is free since it can only be given to models who have one by default)

Core Strain: 45 points. The Destroyer Virus is particularly close to its original code in this Necron. The bearer gains Eternal Warrior and a 4++ invulnerable save.
(notes: It's basically a Necron variant of the Eternal Shield)

Disruptor Field: 30 points. The bearer is equipped with a powerful field emitter similar to the ones found on Lychguard shields. The character and any unit he joins has a 4++ invulnerable save, and reflects successfully saved shots upon an enemy unit within 6".

@Furyou Miko: Added your relics with some modifications. Limited Staff to AP4 and One shot only. AP3 sounds too powerful still and wanted the Destroyer Lord to stick with what he does best, Slicing and Dicing. Thoughts? Will tweak them a bit more when we flesh everything out.
Increased number of upgradable Warriors/Immortals to 10. 10 Tesla Immortal Destroyers (What a mouthful Oo) is under 250 pts compared to 5 Destroyers at 200. Tesla will definitely hold the line better but takes more effort to be a MEQ killer.

@Galorian: Love that Destroyerguard combo Never thought of it. Supplements are broken anyway will leave that Destroyerguardstar (or Stardestroyerguard) available.
MSS is nasty but is already doable in the normal Codex.

Thanks for the great feedback so far

Far too costly for a regular game, but I'd love to try it out in Apocalypse (assuming houserules tone down D weapons at least)!

You do realise that a regular Lord's shooting attack is AP3, right? That's why I thought AP3 would be reasonable. I have a personal vendetta against "one use only" weapons, since apparently a Cyclone can carry thousands of missiles despite having only ten in the rack, and so forth.

I don't think you should allow Immortal Destroyers - canonically, Immortals with the Destroyer virus just become Destroyers.

They could be early-stage Destroyers I guess? Just get PReferred Enemy but haven't ugpraded to the jump gear? In any case, Tesla Destroyers is probably a suitable shorthand.
