Hey guys, Just been given this awsome Tyranid model that was part of the FW bust collection. Can't do it as Alien colours scheme for obvious reasons and wondering what hive fleet colour to paint it or should I keep it as it is for a collector piece. Apparentley it's worth quite a lot but I have not seen one before so not sure.

Any input is more than welcome.

I was watching/bidding one on ebay less than 6 months ago.
I can't remember for the life of me what it eventually went for though. It wasn't megabucks.
I think it was less than a £60 and more than £30 in the end.

I coukd do the black alien colour from my other nids but would need to change the head to make it look right. I wouldn't want to take the head off this one so would just keep if as a regular gaunt.

Oh hell yeah that would make a totally cool MC for the battlefield. Perhaps some light converting to make it look proper.

For friendly games, I can't see anyone complaining about it counting-as a Mawloc.

For serious games, you'd need to chop/extend that base to match the Mawloc base size, and do something to make the height match fairly closely too - I'm guessing it's a bit shorter than a Mawloc, so not sure how you'd make it taller:
- some sort of greenstuff head crest?
- or something creative to raise the base?

Yeah I wouldn't really want to convert it so would just use it at lgs. Could out if on a plinth to make it higher but that is just lack of imagination and against my creative normality....

Most likely just gonna ain't him and out him on display. May get the few space marine and have them in a scenic pose. Space hulk style almost...
