Who plays Zabar? Looking for ideas for a fifty point list... Specifically, what to spend the other items on after spending fifty food. Artillery? Special items?

Any advice is appreciated.

Seige Weapons will not be allowed in the Templecon Tournaments. Unfortunatly thats as helpful as I can be when it comes to Zabar.

I'm going to guess your Zabar make up is similar to your list at the last show, mostly War Hogs.

With the new flexibility to Exemplar costs, I highly Suggest Oruc & Hizir, and/or Tariq ibn Ratel.

Oruc & Hizir can squad up with your War-Hogs for 40 LR or 40 GD and allow the squad to reroll ES once per phase.

Tariq, at 35 LR or 35 GD, is a bodyguard for heroes, making him an excellent choice to protect a Pride Lioness.

If you've got nearly 50 points of War-Hogs, your nearly full on lumber as is. So you'll likely only get one or the other. If you say, are down by 3 War-Hogs (replacing them with 3 Hyenas for example) You'd be at 50FD/35 LR/0 GD. If you take Tariq with GD, 50FD/35LR/35GD.

A Cheetah Tracker will fit in those last 15 LR/15GD. He is an excellent choice to attach to your Hyenas, as they have no maximum range on their special abilities, and the Cheetah provides Stealth if the squad doesn't move. They only become threatened at that point by melee units, and when they are forced to move due to line of sight issues.

An alternative, if you are not looking to rely upon your Hyenas, is a Horn Blower. The downside here is that the Horn Blower cannot perform a Cavalry Charge, so the War Hogs are forced to perform normal charges, if you are looking to receive a MS bonus from his horn.

If you find yourself with an extra 5 LR/5 GD, an Exemplar or Hero hanging with the Hyenas can provide them +5 HM to use their Bloodlust ability by carrying a Banner of Fallen Heroes; or an Exemp/Hero hanging with your War Hogs can carry a Flag of Conquered Lands to make their Trample Fearsome effect trigger.
