Can Subtype MC scale up and down ruins?

In the rules under "ruins", there is a list of subtype units that can move up and down multi-level ruins: Infantry, Beasts, Jump, Jetpack, Jetbikes. Monsterous Creatures are not listed.

Now, some MC models have additional subtypes. FMC when in glide mode count as Jump. Riptides are jetpack. Wraith Knights are Jump. So these MC/FMC units can can move up and down since they are a valid subtype.

But what about normal MC without an additional subtype, like a Tervigon or Carnifex. I believe in the rules under "MC", it mentions that MC move like Infantry. Would that be enough to allow them to scale up and down ruins?

In a separate but similar manner, how about walkers?

The last sentence of "Moving Within Ruins" covers this.

That way,then left

It's all in the ruins rules. Also forget about the " riptides are jet infantry ..." and such. They're never infantry. They're Jetpack monstrous creatures. They may either move like regular MCs or like Jetpackers. Jetpack-units and Jump-units have a special allowance regarding ruins.

Could you quote the rule please. I'm not at home.

States that things like walkers and MC can only enter the ground floor. However, discuss this with your opponent as MC "could" be allowed on "sturdy" types of ruins.

So, as a general rule, they stay on the ground floor... if you have ruins that would "hold" a MC and your opponent is okay with it, then you can play it that way.
