Having not played since 4th edition, was hoping to get some help on a Raven Guard army I'm putting together.

The intent is to have a fluff based army, that can be somewhat competitive. Haven't played with fortifications or fliers, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

HQ
- Kayvaan Shrike

ELITES
- Venerable Dreadnought (Rifleman with TL Lascannons and Missile Launchers)
- Terminator Squad w/ Heavy Flamer

TROOPS
- 10 Man Tactical Squad with Plasma Cannon and Melta, sergeant with Combi-Melta, mounted in Storm Raven.
- 10 Man Tactical Squad with Missile Launcher and Flamer, sergeant with Combi-Flamer, mounted in Rhino

FAST ATTACK
- 10 Man Assault Squad with 2 Flamers, sergeant with TL Lightning Claws
- 2 Land Speeders w/ Multi-Melta and Heavy Flamer

HEAVY SUPPORT
- 5 Man Devastator Squad, with 4 Missile Launchers, mounted in Razorback with TL Lascannon.
- Storm Raven

FORTIFICATION
- Aegis Defense Line (for Devastators and Dreadnought)

Some advice to balance out the competitive aspect:

-the plasma cannon in the Stormraven-mounted squad is not gonna see much action, I'd stick with a MM since the rest of your squad is anti-armor, the MM still gets to snap-fire at least

-the 2 landspeeders are gonna get shredded... pure and simple; they're setup for close range and as such will get punched before they get to fire. If you really want them, I'd stick with Typhoon and HB for some long range fire support that you can zoom around the field and keep in cover. Alternatively you can drop them both and try to fit in a Stormtalon. A LSS would also fit in your list nicely (for fluff) and is a nice way to contest/grab objectives late game

-Unlike a lot of people on this site I actually like the termies with the HF; maybe try to fit in a couple of teleporter homers in your tacts for a safe arrival?

Have fun with your list! Looks like a good start.
