I've noticed nobody really seems to use Kharn anymore, and he's so awesome in combat. This is of course because the only real way to deliver him is a Land Raider, or perhaps the new Kharybis Drop Pod. But for kicks, wouldn't you like to try something more like:
The Cannon of Kharn!
150 points
AV12/12/12, 3
HP, tank, hull-mounted cannon, one-use only, Range 72",
BS 4.
Only Kharn or other Chaos Lord with the Mark of Khorne may deploy embarked within the Cannon. Non-infantry and models in Terminator armor may not use the Cannon.
To fire the Cannon, treat it as firing a normal small blast. After resolving the scatter dice, resolve the number of hits under the blast on the enemy unit using Kharn's or the Lord's Strength and weapon profile, including any Special Rules associated with them, as if he has charged that turn. The Khorne 'ammunition' will suffer an equal number of S4/
AP- hits. A non-vehicle unit will then be locked in combat. However no models may strike blows the turn in which they are fired upon from the Cannon, nor may Kharn or the Lord in that turn.
If a vehicle (including a Walker) is hit by the blast marker, they suffer a single hit in the same manner as a non-vehicle unit, but Kharn or the Lord will suffer a single hit of the same Strength as if he were Rammed by a vehicle, taking into account all normal factors of ramming up to a maximum of Strength 10, resolved at
AP-.
If no enemy unit is hit by the blast the fired model suffers a S4/
AP- hit, increasing in Strength by 1 for every 12" of distance traveled.
This would be a great use for those old Armorcast Cannons of Khorne
Have fun!
