I was talking on abother thread about the issues that can arise for embarked troops if their transport get stunned as part of the process of destruction.

If you get either Crew Shaken (passengers only snap Shots) or Stunned (no shooting) results the troops disembarking are in trouble?

Now in the past I (and others) have simply stopped rolling for damage results when the vehicle is dead - but in recent games I have got opponents to roll for all results against my Immolators and Rhinos as this can be important but they are often unconcerened about this - inlcuding some low level tournament players.

Do many people roll out all the damage results or I am being unsual?

thanks

Personally i consider it this way, if you're rolling damage you only roll the number of HP or until a wrecked/explodes result.

After this point its already dead and all extra 'wounds' are discounted.

You always roll all the results because they all occur simultaneously. So I usually roll to hit, roll to pen, then pick up all the penetrating dice and roll them for damage results. If you read the penetrating hits section it says you must roll on the table even if you cause a hull point wreck because there is a chance the vehicle will explode.

I play that you roll all the destroyed results simultaneously, but it explodes only once!

This is the correct way to do it as far as I can tell.

The rules even tell you to still roll all pens, even if the vehicle would die from hull points, because the vehicle may still explode.

That's how I read it - its just a lot of people I have played against (even when it befits them) don't bother.........even if reminded!

They just say - nah its dead, lets get on with it or they just go with the Explode result and ignore the others.

Why are you rolling all this stuff separately? I just roll it all at once. Even if you pen 15 times, and roll 6 explodes results, it still only explodes once. Even against the tankiest of tank lines, the situation may only add like 15 new rolls to the game (ie not that much.) Usually it will add 1 or 2.

Though, the way you are saying it, they know there are disadvantages to continue rolling, and want to avoid them. A simple solution, is to say "Well, how about we just apply the stunned result as well" and see if they want to go along.
