Hello all.

I'm a little unclear what to do with a model equipped with multiple Ordnance weapons.

The Ork Dread Mob list Mega-Dread can take 2x Killkannons, which are Ordnance 1, Large Blast weapons.

Can I fire both of them? I thought normally that if you fired an ordnance weapon, you could only snap fire other weapons... and you can't snap fire a blast? Would you ever be able to fire both of these weapons?

You can fire 1 per turn, you covered the relevant rules yourself.

Why would they possibly give you the option to take two of them then? On the odd chance you get a weapon destroyed result?

That is one example. I would go with poor design myself

Outdated rules. Also, is the mega-dred superheavy? That would give it different rules.

Because when the rules were written, you could fire both. It's a casualty of 6th edition changing the Ordnance rules.

Not true. In 5th the Killkannon became twin-linked when adding a second killkannon arm. Only the most recent books changed the killkannons to operate independently.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

I interpret it as taking 5th edition rules and deciding to not completely rewrite the options for the model when they provided the updated 6th edition Dread Mob PDF that includes the Hull Points and warlord traits.

The Mega Dread entry in Imperial Armour 8: Raid on Castorell Novem did not have the option to take two separate killkannons. They literally replaced working rules with broken rules.

Well, FW also keeps insisting on giving Ordnance missiles to their normal flyers, too.

My bet is on bad design.

The probably just weren't aware of the rules issue here. Just like when they gave supersonic to all their flying transports, making them unable to ever disembark units.
