Hey Guys,

So I am facing a friend on saturday, and he plays Eldar, The Iyanden type, his army usually consists of Fire Prisms, Wave Serpents, Wraithgaurd and wraithblades, wraigthknights, etc...

I am looking at using this army, would like some help on the list.

HQ:

Hive Tyrant: Wings, 2 TL Devs 230pts
Hive Tyrant: Wings, 2 TL Devs 230pts

Fast Attack:

Hive Crone 155pts
Hive Crone 155pts

Elites:

Zoanthropes x2 100pts

Troops:

Termagaunts x30 120pts
Termagaunts x30 120pts
Warriors x3 RC, TS, AG 129pts

Heavy Support:

Exocrine AG 190pts
Carnifex Brood x2: HVenom cannons x2, Spine banks x2, AG x2 320pts

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have about 8k worth of nids, so i have most models, and any models i dont have i can proxy, as i am testing out the new models before buying them. our group is ok with this.

Thanks

Hi

I am clearly not experienced with tyranids and especially the new dex except from what i read on the net.
However i have one question : "if you dont take tervigons as troops, why take squads of 30 gaunts instead of multiple smaller ones"?
You could take 4 squads of 15 instead and it would be more solid i think.
Otherwise, HQ sounds solid, take care of his serpents with your crones

Because they die to fast. Seriously, with only a 6+ about most weapons in the game ignores the armor. Secondly the larger size makes them easier to string out for synapse.

With the mass of ID weapons the Eldar have, I would split the Zoanthopes, get a Venom and drop the Warriors. I don't see the warriors bring much to this list.
Catalyst and Onslaught are going to be a big help. And possibly Horror, though I think Wraiths are fearless.

Not sure the AG will be worth it on your Carnies as you have them rigged for shooting. Might look at Bio-Plasma instead of the HVC to keep the second CC weapon.

he reason i have the warriors is for synapse for the carnies and exocrine, also the reason why i didnt take a venomthrope is because eldar serpents ignore cover anyways dont they?

Any tips on dealing with Wraithknights and the general ID weapons of Eldar?

Any other ideas or suggestions? I haven't faced Eldar in a number of years and havent had a test run with the new nids codex yet.
