Hey Dakka,

I'm planning on purchasing a DKoK army at a severely reduced price (all unpainted/mostly unassembled) from a local guy getting rid of them.
My question is, as I plan to expand into a larger force, what should i do for counts-as Stormtroopers and Veterans?

We got the Standard Dude which is fairly clear but i'm not sure how to make the others destinctive.

It makes sense with Grenadiers as Stormtroopers because they share the similar design for the cabled Hot-Shot Lasguns, but i'm not convinced they look 'elite' enough compared to the standard Infantryman.

Similarly, Engineers seem like good Veterans, but they as well, dont seem really any different than the Infantryman.

What are your thoughts on the matter? what should count as what? Also, should I use the standard Stormtrooper models (albeit all those with closed or full-face masks) as Stormtroopers instead of Kreigsman?

Grenadiers got those armor plates on them I think. Best thing you'll get for Veterans.

They also have the awesome skull masks. Just paint them slightly differently to the cannon fodder and you'll be good,

Yeah, they do at least look slightly more up-armoured and better equipped. And the skull masks are amazingly bada**. In that case, what should i use to represent Stormtroopers in your opinion(s)?

I'd have Grenadiers as Stormtroopers and Engineers as Veterans.
