Hi guys

I just wanted to ask a quick question really in regards to the topic. What do you guys use to transport your miniatures to your local GW store?
I am going for my very first game this weekend and have all my miniatures in a KR multicase. Will the staff there start being funny with me because its not a GW carry case?

Many thanks

I'm from the future. The future of space

You should be fine. If they talk to you about it, ask them about GW cases, act interested for a while and then tell them when you need more space, you'll know what to get.

And then when you actually need more space, get another KR because well, it just makes more sense.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

You'll be fine even if you used an old Pokemon card case. Lol (Because I so didn't do that my first time ;^) )

I use my Battlefoam proudly. It's your army and your money, protect them however you see fit. If someone was to seriously harass you about it, just ask them who paid for it. Lol

You'll be fine. I used to take my army to the GW store in thread cases packed into plastic file totes. Among gamers at a GW Store, you'll likely see as many (or more) non-GW cases as GW cases.

I use a duffle bag with a magnetized base and a liner cut from old couch cushions. Works a treat and was practically free. No one has given me any hassles about it at all.

Other people use various plastic totes with sheets of steel on the bottom, or even just blu-tac to hold the minis down. Some prefer cardboard boxes and blu-tac or foam. I've even seen smaller armies transported in several 1-dozen egg containers.

Whatever works for you, man. The hobby is expensive enough; no one's going to judge you for your transport case (or lack thereof).

KR foam is the way to go, so you will be fine.

My local GW store had a member of staff and a manager point people in the KR/Battlefoam direction rather than the GW ones.

They don't care. Use whatever, just don't game with minis that aren't majority GW components.

In my experience they'll try to talk about the reasons you should use their cases, if it's not best for you then no problem, use what is
