What is the casting like? How well does these kits fit together? I've decided I'll be ordering one of these two kits today(if I get the vulture I'll be getting the punisher cannons as well) so any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you :-)

I have the Vulture, and about the only issue I had with assembling the main body was that the cockpit and main thruster don't have anything to line them up with the body section. Otherwise, it goes together quite nicely as it uses parts from the plastic Valk (wings, tail booms, etc).

Both were pretty easy kits, as long as you're able to handle large resin models in general. The Vulture has very few parts (front body, back body, and some fins/details) and none of them need absolutely perfect fit and alignment. For example, the engine exhaust bit is just glued to a flat spot on the back end of the main hull, so even if the engine is slightly the wrong size or not perfectly round it will still go together without any problems and you'll probably never notice. The Thunderbolt is a bit more complicated and you'll almost certainly have to do some hot water straightening work to get the body sections to fit properly, but it's still a pretty straightforward kit.

Thank you for the replies, I've gone for the thunderbolt with drop tanks and bombs :-)

Warning: the hardpoints for the tanks and bombs are designed for the Valkyrie/Vulture wings, they aren't the right angle for the other flyers. If you use them as-is on a Thunderbolt they'll be tilted to the side instead of hanging straight down unless you convert them to match.
