I just notised that the T. Prime can take bio artifacts. While the claws will give us the old re-roll (after you kill something) what intereserts me is the bio cannon.
12 S5 shots base, and then you add a 2+ poisen AP4 flamer template (or a small blast), what do people think? Is it to exsåensive for what it does?
(On a funn side note it is also posible to give him lashwhip and bonesword artifact. While I do not think we need an S7 I7 Trygon, it would be funn to glue those small arms on that big model. Like a T-Rex.)

If I do run my Trygon Prime, I'll most likely give him both of the Bio-artifacts that you've mentioned. The Miasma cannon or whatever it's called a definite add, as the Trygon Prime can deep strike with no fear of mishap (for the most part) allowing him to get as close to whatever juicy unit/target you'd like to fire up with the template and his normal 12 electro-static shots.
Costly, but effective. Still not sure I'll be adding him to my lists...

I am starting ho have a synaptic overload when I am making a tyranid army. There is so much stuff I want to add! I am afraid I will leave out nesaserry units as I just pile on cool things.

I like the combo but don't think it is worth the points, at least in the list I have built. I already have a comms to bring in mawlocs quicker so at least from that stand point I wouldn't have to worry as much about when he would come in.

I always throw the Maws Claws on him...10 pts on a model that never fails to see combat...an he gets rending against vehicles? No more smashing for me..
Generally I like the Miasma Cannon on Outflanking Tervigons, Primes, and CC Flyrants,
The Norn Crown is pretty decent on a Tervigon and some types of Tyrant.
Maws Claws, great for Trygon Primes. Tyrant should just buy Old Adversary and Prime needs a bonesword.
The Reaper and/or Ymgarl factor are great for a Prime, but should only be added to a Tyrant if you were going to buy him Adrenal Glands and a LW/BS setup anyways. (It's 5 points more for consistent +1S and shred)

That trygon is 275, while a mawlock is 140, so that prime would cost almost twice as much. And the mawlock is better vs marines.

I did some play testing with a Trygon, and a Miasma Cannon. It was not clear to me that he was ever going to kill his points worth. It is my opinion that Mawloc, Biovore, Carnifex, Tyranofex, and Biovore are all better buys.
In fact, because Biovores are cheap, I would recommend always filling your FOC Heavy Support Category. 1 Mawloc + 1 Biovore + 1 Biovore is only 210 points. Assume you need an extra Zoantrhope for Synapse and you have 260 points, and a much more powerful force than a single Trygon Prime with Miasma.

12 S5 shots and a flamer is not bad though.
Mr Mawlock will probably scatter off.

I would really only ever consider the Maw-Claws. Everything else is far too expensive for what they do. 6" of synapse for 40 points? Really? The Reaper is worse, though a great weapon. more than double the cost of a Bonesword+Lashwhip for +1S and Shred? No thanks. I would only ever use that on a Trygon Prime, and at that point I'm spending too much on a single MC.

I personally have always liked loading up my trygons. I find that they're durable enough to get onto combat with something and from that point I can't say I remember a time when they actually died without cutting a swathe through the enemy.
Haven't done it with the new codex, im just saying that trygons are indeed awesome, even if they are expensive. I like to take two

I think ill run it with 2 flyrant, 2 crone, 1 harpy , crushing claws tervigon with electroshock grubs/shreddershard, normal trygon and trygon prime with miasma cannon.
at 2nd turn trygon deep strike, outflaking tervigon poop then all the fliers swoop.
