I know the current prices of models are still pretty inflated but I'm happy to see that the newest bundle from GW is actually sold at a discount!

I hope the trend continues.

Yes, a £53.50 saving by my calculations.
You would need to be keen on doing a Nid swarm though.

Not quite sure this belongs in the news/rumours board as they've been doing them for a while now.
But it is indeed good news -- possibly even great -- and possibly worthy of further discussion so off to 40k general it is then...

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

That's not a one-click-bundle though, that's more like the Space Marine Megaforce and the like. Those boxes have always been discounted.
Plus, it's pretty old news

I hope it's a step in the right direction. More people would buy from GW direct if they did those kinds of deals throughout their range as I doubt third party could match that level of discount.
That might hurt the FLGS though, so it would be a double edged sword for some people.

It's not direct only though. It's a new boxed set, like the Battleforces. Lots of independent store carry that set.

So...when are they selling the box sets for the armies that I play? I don't see it for Lizardmen and crons. I know that Orks will get theirs when they update.

I bought the SM Strikeforce for £105 from Dark Sphere, giving me an even greater saving compared to buying it from GW. Even from GW, you save about £50, which was a major shock when I first saw it, I like this new route they're taking. Yes, the boxes are a bit more expensive than Battleforces in the past, but it seems that they've learnt from that One-Click Nonsense and are actually thinking about their customers for once.

That's the biggest point I was trying to make with this post! The trend back to what made them what they are in the first place by offering a discount at a certain price point is the right one in my humble opinion.
Asking people to buy huge "one Click" collections at not even so much as $1 dicount is rediculous.

I can only hope that the price does not slowly creep up until savings are minimal, like happened with old Battleforces.
But indeed, the Swarm box is a good deal, and I was actually planning to buy it before the new Codex killed my enthusiasm.
