Just some random thoughts on items that would be useful but not over powered.

Lord and Overlord optional equipment:

Res beacon - 30 pts - single use - If lord or OL are with the group and survives and/or reanimates, this would allow a warrior or immortal unit to take the reanimation protocols check even though no models were left standing. Fall backs would still prevent the reanimation protocols.

Nebloscope -30 pts - BS5 for unit that L or OL joins

Target Relay Link - 30 pts - During the shooting phase only, when two units shoot the same enemy unit and and both units have the TRL, both units gain the twinlinked special rule for that phase. This would stack to more than two units.

Destroyers
- New weapon option - Particle Beamer

Thoughts?

Seems to me that you looked at that lovely Tau Buff Commander everyone is taking and though ''Hmm, I could use me some of that!''. While I am not openly against it, I think that it could be done in a slightly different way. For example one of the most rarely used Overlord is the Phaeron so he could have access to the Nebloscope (I would pay for 20 Bs 5 Relentless Warriors). The rez beacon could be incorporated into a Xenos fortification (GASP!) that is fairly resilient (Av 12 with Quantum shielding) and passed out that buff and maybe a +1 to units within 12.

Isn't target relay the thing that the walkers have? I'd be fine with it, your Necron lord shouldn't be shooting anyway and I am fine with the particle beamer.

target relay link is similar to the Triarch stalkers have with some exceptions:

Differences:
The cost of getting this target relay link is 60 pts. The walker is 150pts.
The twin link effect comes into play automatically without the requirement to 'hit'. (this is a small point)
On the other hand, only the two squads would get the effect if they shot at the same target.

I play lots of small 1000 pt games where I bring the minimum 2 troop choices.
My other primary units are AB barges which don't get any benefit from the Stalker.
In larger point games, the stalker would be preferred.
In smaller point games, the Target Relay link would be more efficient

Res orb beacon
I agree that a necron specific terrain could give the same benefit as a res orb beacon, I thought that putting it on our lords would remain consistent with the overall layout of the army.

Additional Thoughts

Tesla Destructor
Add one additional shooting profile:

Primary profile - 24" Str 7 assault 4 Tesla, Arc
Secondary profile - 24" Str 9 assault 2 Tesla, arc* - check arc for each successful hit

The secondary profile provides a dedicated tank hunter role to the current anti-infantry role.
Str 9 assault 2 produces .8 hull points at AV14 with a chance to penetrate.
At av13, it gives 1.2 hull points with a 13.6% chance for penetration
At av12, it gives 1.63 hull points with a 19.8% of penetrating.
The primary profile would still be preferred from AV12 and below.
Only AV13 and AV14 would clearly be better for the Seconday shooting profile.

The primary is significantly better for troops.
The secondary profile could still offer some benefit by invoking instant death if a wound gets through.

I would then recommend that the ARC rule be invoked for each hit rather than a single arc for any number of hits.
This would represent the stronger initial lightning bolts of Str 9.

DoomsDay Ark
Change Ark profile such that the player could choose to discharge the quantum shields into the gun circuit.
So, You could move and still shoot Str 9 Ap 1 72" shot but until your next turn, the quantum shields are depleted leaving the DArk as a AV11 vehicle.

CRYPTEK
Add Eldritch Lance shooting profiles
24" Str 7 AP 3 Assault 2
24" Str 6 Ap 4 Assault 3

More thoughts later.......

Gives unit the character joins X overpowered ability

I'd rather see less of this than more of it in 40k.

Tesla Destructor

Secondary profile - 24" Str 9 assault 2 Tesla, arc* - check arc for each successful hit

I just don't see why a gun should have the ability to be good against everything.

Well, this being the Necron army, the codex consistent way of adding capabilities/buffs would be via adding characters to units.
