So I´m about to start a Nurgle army, CSM and CCD. I´m very interested in using drones but my dilema is how to tool them and use them.
Is there any special synergy that I should know?

Well nurgle doesnt really have anybody in the ways of moving fast so you wont have an IC leading them, you'll take them alone.

Grimoiring them is good ofc because then they get a 3++ invlun save. Having Fateweaver allows you to reroll the girmoire if you fail it.

Giving the leader a balesword or whatever the Instant Death sword is can be good if you're up against MCs

Having a Herald close by to grimoire is useful for them. They have a Poison 4+ weapon already that can be pretty mean (since poison lets to reroll to wound under certain circumstances) as well as auto-glance vehicles on rolls of 6.

You may want to read through this other thread about a recent tournament winning list that used a full unit of 9 drones:

I run a Demon army, but never used Drones.
Ain´t Etherblade with Rot Probosics better since the Etherblade is Ap2 over Balesword that is Ap-?

How large should a drone unit be?

that is corrects. Its better to have ap2 since they will probably make the 1 or 2 armor saves that would have ID otherwise

i suggest up to 4-5

Either keep them cheap and run them basic. Or perhaps give them instant death and an etherblade, maybe the banner for 2+ wounding (works with etherblade).

Personally I prefer them kept as cheap per model as possible.

Don't take the shooting upgrade, it is pretty poor.

Agreed. If you're not in CC, you're going to want to run them during the shooting phase anyway. The shooting upgrade would have to be damned good to take it and only move the 12" and fire

They're Slow and Purposeful (From Daemon of Nurgle) so no running anyway. Not a good enough reason to take the shooting upgrade but the most Plague Drone can move when not assaulting is 12" + 2D6" from the Jetpack move in the assault phase.

By the 37 keys of Tzeentch,We open the way for our brothers,
By the 1000 whispers of Slaanesh we call to them,
By the 12 plagues of Nurgle we fell their enemies,
And by the mighty axe of Khorne we cut open the world for them!

They can't run because they're Slow and Purposeful (ala Daemon of Nurgle)

Thank you for all respons.

Is Rot Probosic always mandatory?
Equip with banner for Papa Nurgle to join the fight?

9 Plague Drones, Champion w/ Greater Reward, Icon, Plague Banner
3 Soulgrinders, Mark of Nurgle, Phlegm

This is probably one of the better ways to run them. Though the Heralds are slower they can tril behind, giving FNP to the Drones. Epi buffs them quite a bit.

I run mine in a unit of 7. I'm a traditionalist

I run them bare except maybe a reward on sarge if I have the points, and an icon.

They make a decent bullet sponge and icon delivery service to jump my other daemons off of, but generally are unimpressive in a fight. Resilient as well, but low damage output.
