Like a lot of people I'm preparing for an upcoming Killteam tournament. I'm going to bring my Eldar but am still a little hazy on what will actually do well. Originally I planned on bringing 7 hawks with an exarch and sunrifle/talon, plus 5 rangers. The idea being the rangers take out MC's while the hawks can mow down hordes and quickly move to objectives. (and under the old killteam my hawk exarchs sunrifle was str 3 ap 3 blind with fleshbane). Now i'm worried I'll be too quickly out-matched by tyranid mini-mc's (hive guard, zoans, warriors) and still have little besides haywires for vehicles.

So what do you think the best or at least a solid Eldar KT list would look like? I'd prefer to stay away from vehicles likes warwalkers and vypers (they also seem expensive for only being able to kill 1-2 models a turn), but otherwise everything else is fair game. Thoughts?

Here's the first okay list I put together that has been doing really well for me.

TROOP
-5 Dire Avengers (1x Weapons Specialist)

-5 Rangers (1x Indomitable Specialist)

FAST
-3 Shining Spears (1x Leader and 1x Guerrilla Specialist)

200/200

Shining Spears seem to do better in Kill Team than they do in regular 40k.

Nonsense. The Battle Company box is perfect for filling out your ranks of aspect warriors with a large contingent from the Screaming Baldies shrine.

I always make my Ranger Relentless...A Battle Focusing Sniper is a load of fun.

10 Warp Spiders, one having the Exarch upgrade; 200 points exactly. I haven't lost a game yet... Warp Spiders are insane in low point games.

My best I could come up with is
7 warp spiders - one has master crafted
3 jetbikes - 1 cannon(preferred enemy), leader has FNP.
It's like 194 points or so.

I can see warp spiders really tearing into units in kill team

I would sign this contract but I already ate the potato

I would just feel so... boring, just taking 10 spiders. But they really do have the capability of dealing with pretty much ANYTHING that is going to show up in Kill Team.
