So I've thumbed through it a few times, and something seems like its missing. Where are the characters? I don't see a single stat line. Where is ovesa? Where are any of the stats for the eight? Did I just pay 50 bucks for stats on some sig systems?

The eight are just the normal models with special equipment. All you have do is kit them as the character suggests I believe.

In the digital versions of the book, The Eight have all their equipment points and stuff layed out.

In the hard copy, the last page before the actual rules has a 2 page spread with all of The Eight, e.g. O'Vesa is a Riptide with the following upgrades, Ion Accelerator, ECPA, 2 Shielded Missile Drones, to buy O'Vesa, you simply add the costs of both a naked Riptide and those upgrades to take it as one of The Eight.

No idea why it was done like that.

To save space, otherwise the addition of all those new rules would have made the book too large to only charge $40 for.

They also all gain IC, so you have and IC missileside and an IC riptide. They are also a way to get TE sig-systems into your list. And yes, you did just pay $40 for 50 pages of fluff and 5 pages of rules

That is insanely disappointing. Well caveat emptor I suppose. Thanks guys!
