I'm thinking about putting the phrase "GET READY!" on the side of my Rhino with the GW blood paint. But I am unsure about how to print the letters on cleanly. Any particular way to go about this?

Practice with brush control on some paper for a while first.

Testors makes a make your own water slide transfer kit. That is another option.

Paint flows very differently on paper than it does to models, perhaps it would be better to practice on some sprue/some spare panelling from the rhino kit instead?

The Bad Dice Daily did an episode on free hand painting, I suggest you look it up as there will be lessons you can apply to what you want to achieve on the Rhino.

Also, don't write left to right like you would normal, start from the middle and work out, so you don't end up running out of room.

You can write it softly in pencil first to get the layout then go over it in paint.

meh do it the lazy way print it on plasticard or some other firm thin substance cut it out with and hobby knife hold it upto the flat surface paint straight across. No huss no fuss no mess

That definitely doesn't sound like the "easy" way to me, I think it'd take significantly longer than just painting them. Though if you want 3D letters it's the better way.

No, he is saying cut the letters out to make a stencil and paint through the stencil. He is not advocating gluing on 3D letters.
