Ummmmm anything works at that point level for guard. Mech can work, infantry spam can work...Not sure what you're looking for

Troops: 2x engineers with grenade launchers
Lord of War: Doomhammer
Put everything in the tank and drive around laughing as nobody can deal with a superheavy in a 600 point game.

Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

IG have 2 real advantages in low-point games: the ability to out-horde almost anything, and access to relatively cheap AV14.
Something like this could work:
Primaris: 70 (roll on Biomancy)
PCS: 30
2x PIS with flamer: 110
PCS: 30
2xPIS with melta: 120
Leman Russ exterminator, 3x HB:170
and 60 points left for more upgrades to Infantry squads. Maybe throw in an autocannon in each PIS or a couple of Lascannons, or some flamers for the PCS.
This gives you good numbers, a decent number of special weapons depending on loadouts, and a pretty fearsome AV14 dakkatank.

platoon of 50 with 5 power axes - 330 Inquisitor Coteaz - 100 lord comissar with power fist and camo cloak 95 veterans squad + 1 flamer + 75 = 600 Just make sure to turn down any challenges that come your way

Marbo, for 65pts he,s a steal, his demo charge can make a nice big hole into the enemy's forces and if you're lucky enough to have him live another round, he can still make some damage with his pistol and a good charge.

In a 600 pt game, his one hit can wipe out a HUGE chunk of your enemy. In 1850 pt game, his is not that much of a game breaker. In 600, I would say he is a must have and listen to others whine and complain about cheese.
Thats why I suggested adding him into that first given list.

I actually always use Marbo, really I start with him and then I make my list. Like said, he won't horribling cripple your opponent in a 1.5K+ game, but he'll still be able to do kill something big and draw attention from your main line.
