Hello everyone

after visiting the dakkadakka forums daily for a few months now I decided to join up and participate in the discussions. I got into the hobby around last christmas by starting up with 40k. I always had a thing for miniatures and the rich backstory and style of the miniatures got me hooked. I spent the last year building a small ultramarines force (I know, i know they're considered bland but I just liked the colour scheme and the fact that their own arrogance makes them mess up from time to time ) without ever getting to play much since I live in a town that is an hour's drive away from munich and thus the next GW store. Sometime ago however a friend of mine started collecting Tau and Black Templars so I now get a game a week or so.
Apart from Wargaming and painting I enjoy Rock and Metal (Metallica, Judas Priest, Motörhead and the romanian band Trooper, for example) as well as reading ( A Song of Ice and Fire, started reading the Horus Heresy) and video games.

Interesting perspective on the Ultramarines! I love the color scheme too (I think it's one of my favorites) but I leaned more towards Salamanders in the end.
