Eldrad and the Spiritseer will be with the Wraithguard. I want the serpents to push forward with the Wraithknight in hopes of forcing target priority issues. Eldrad will be rolling primarily for either Fortune or Invis, depending on what my enemy brings. Looking for protect on the spiritseer. Destructor/Renewer could also be handy, and if i get niether, I'll take Voice of Twighlight and move on to telepathy. I am unsure if Brightlances are the best choice on the War Walkers in this list. Part of me thinks that Scatter Lasers could br better here. I need some advice on this one. Either way, they can start on the table or outflank as needed. Jetbikes will start in reserve and exist only to grab objectives. The Crimson Hunter Exarch is there to tank hunt and augment the serpents in an AA role. He gets night vision because nothing else in my army could take a 5 point updrade.

What do you guys think?

The Twilight Zone

I like the idea. Be sure to use eye on distant events with your serpents. Stay in formation, and get 3+ cover saves for a shooting phase. You can use your redeploy to get such things to work better.

The potential of Eldrad, a spiritseer and scytheguard is outright illegal. You could be using 2 psychic shrikes, and 5 scythes....there is very little in the game that could survive such a horrific onslaught. That said, don't roll on runes of fate and end up taking crap powers. Eldritch, doom, fortune, guide and toss the rest. Better to go to telepathy once you have taken guide, but well worth the shot at fortune/doom. Eldritch is 2 charges, but still a strong power. With your ability to get more charges, you should be ok on casting all the powers.

The war walkers do need lances, as you lack Av14 without. Your serpents can threaten heavy armor, but you would rather leave Av13+ to the knight and walkers. Hunter is liable to have to do AA duty, and if so won't be helping with AT duty till late game.

If I changed anything in this list, I would drop the exarch from the hunter for the spirit stone on the spiritseer. Getting voice of twilight for a single charge is nice, along with potential invisibility or hallucination. If nothing else, it gives you battle focus and psychic shriek on a scytheguard unit. Spend the rest of the points on ghostwalk matrix or spirit stones for eldrad's ride. I take it you want to get that big nasty unit to their destination. Matrix is a bit better all around by providing hard cover and stopping immobolization, but stones can be very good if you plan on dropping the shield.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Yes when you use Eldrads warlord trait, all your dakka serpents get a 3+, and your scythe guard get a 2+ when they go flat out (which i would because you want them to get close)
I mean i can see the merits of eldrad, but wouldnt just 2 far seers work better? just imo

Then you lose the spiritseer and then your WG are elites and not troops, also i'm guessing the purpose of this whole list is for Eldrad/

@Serling
Good idea on dropping the Exarch. I forgot you could take upgrades on Spiritseers! Probably will go with the Ghostwalk Matrix for Eldrad's ride; my meta uses a lot of area ruins. Also the Eye on Distant Events trick is something I had not thought of!

@ninja
Wouldn't be an Eldrad Bomb without Eldrad!

If only Eldrad could take a bike.... (visions of Eldrad murdering everything while on a bike).
