So, being the still very newbie player that I am - I need a bit of assistance on grav chute insertion.

I think it's the wording of the IG codex that is throwing me. It states that once you select a location (somewhere in the wake of where the valk flew) you do a deep strike essentially. Then it stays the terrain is treated as dangerous (no matter what the actual type I'm assuming?) if scattered and you follow the DT test. But then it immediately states that if any model can't be deployed, they're all toast. What's confusing me is this: Is it saying if you have a single unit *fail* the DT test, the entire group is lost... or is just restating the basic deep strike rules about not being able to *physically* deploy them correctly (like any other DS unit)? I think I'm just reading too much into this... and it's just normal deep strike rules for the unit bailing out of the moving transport, but I figured I'd ask the vets.

If you cannot "place" the unit - due to Impassable Terrain or enemy models within 1" etc. then the entire unit is destroyed.

If you can place the unit, but some (or all) models are in difficult terrain, they count it as Dangerous and need to test but only models that fail will be removed.

Instead of rolling for mishap, they just all die.
