Hey dakkaites. Just finished my five-man assault squad, and with it, my first 500 points for a local accumulator. It's always nice seeing the nucleus of a painted army coming together, regardless of painting standard. One of my hobby goals this year is to get to grips with some subtle osl effects, so I've had a go on the jump packs. Fairly shoddy, but not too disheartened!

As always, any comments or criticism gratefully received. Pics were on a phone, so not ideal.

I like these a lot

I have always had a soft spot for purple loyalist marines.

Two things...

1. My god, that color scheme is really good, as is the paintjob!

2. Those pics look pretty good for a phone camera!

Very nice. Not many people do a purple color scheme (a shame).

Are they Soul Drinkers? Will you run the Imperial Fists tactics with them (since they are supposedly their parent chapter)?

They're actually just a home brew chapter Farseer. Suspect I'll just use ultra marines tactics with them.

Yeah. The nomadii imperialis. Home is an asteroid, thus the nomadii part. Purple is meant to represent deep space, and their chapter symbol is a small circle on a bigger circle, meant to represent the asteroid's orbit. Looks a bit like a ring though....

The symbol has been green stuffed with varying degrees of success on all the shoulders.

Edit: there should be better pics of the symbol in my plog. Link below.

Never to old to play with little marines! Also very nice work there, the Purple seems really vibrant.
