Hi guys, I had a bit of a sudden urge to make a new army as a friend of mine just started the hobby and I've been helping him get started.
I wanted to keep it small scale to help him get used to the game to begin with.
My plan was to make a fun and themed force that could still stand a chance if I took it against someone else.
He has started collecting eldar by the way.

HQ:
Captain (185)
-Artificer armour
-The burning blade
-Bike

Troops:
Bike Squad (130)
-5 Bikes
-Sergeant has combi melta
-Plasma gun

Bike Squad (130)
-5 Bikes
-Sergeant has combi melta
-Plasma gun

Fast Attack:
Attack Bike (55)
-Multi-melta

That comes to 500/500 I believe.
In terms of chapter tactics it will probably be white scars.
One concern I have is the bike squads havering both melta and plasma. Should I just go for one kind?

Have you considered Kossaro Kahn as your HQ? he's 150 pts (so gives you some more to play with) and gives your entire army scout.

With the points you save you could buy two more special weapons (one for each squad).

Take grav guns. Normally i would go w combi-grav for the sarge too, but at 500pts I think you'll need the extra anti-tank.
