So I was wondering about the feasibility of minimum (genestealer) troops and max big nids. List would go something like:

2 flyrants with TL Devourers = 460
3 carnifex brood with TL Devourers = 450
2 tyranofexes with acid spray = 350
2 zoanthrope broods of 1 = 100
= 1360

This leaves 140 points which is just enough for 2 genestealer broods. The plan is to rush the opponent and reserve the genestealers who will try to score behind LOS blocking terrain (and pass thier Ld10 synapse rolls). Can these 7 MC delay/kill enough of the enemy to make this strategy viable? The stealers really have to score at least one objective since you will probably loose slay the warlord and most likely first blood.

I'd drop a tyrranofex for some more troops and a venomthrope. The 6" shrouded bubble from the venoms is invaluable to a nids list. I've played a few 1500 pt games with the nids and so far 3 carnifexes and the 2 flyrants have done a remarkable job at distracting almost all of my opponents fire. Warriors work well in a list like this. 3 units of 3 with a barbed strangler each has worked well for me.

Also 'stealers don't need to pass leadership tests every turn as they do not have instinctive behavior.

2 flyrants, TL devs: 460
2 Zoanthropes: 100
Venomthrope: 45
3x 3 Warriors w/ BS: 300
2x Carnifex w/ TL devs: 300
Carnifex w/ HVC, TL devs: 155
Mawloc: 140

For even more synergy you can take something like an ADL or a bastion for really great cover saves and/or extra LOS blocking terrain. That's probably the more competitive route, but I like having more big stompies.
