So I posted a thread yesterday with a few items to get started airbrushing.

That 50 dollar compressor seems like a great value but, I found a new one and I am wondering if anyone has used one of these compressors.

Seems like it would be great for indoor use. Please comment

So you can use a large compressor like that for airbrushing?

That compressor doesn't look all that large, but it has a decent size tank.

Yeah, you can use a large compressor for airbrushing. As long as you have a regulator to get it down to the pressure you need for airbrushing (10-40psi range). The reason most people often don't go with compressors that large is they can be more expensive and they take up more space.

My compressor sits next to the desk I use for both work and paint, as such I got one with a 0.5HP one with a 1.25 gallon tank. Cheap and it fits the area that I have.

I toyed around with the idea of getting something large enough to respray my car, but after a while decided what I need to respray my car would force me to move my painting desk somewhere else and was over my budget anyway.

Love it. Had to replace the connector to a smaller one to match up with my hose but it cost a couple $$. My only issue with it is that it's very hard to fit a water trap/filter on due to where the connector is vs the tank. I've used it for other air tool around the house as well.
