I should note, that we have special campaign goals we have to meet. Mine is that I have to prevent units from getting line breaker. My opponent does not know this. I am playing on the Imperial side, and we are facing off against Tyranids, Orks, and 2 Dark Eldar forces.

Librarian w/ Auspex 70pts

10x Tacticals w/ Vet Sergeant, Power Axe, Grav Gun and Heavy Bolter 190pts
10x Tacticals w/ Power Axe, Grav Gun and Heavy Bolter 180pts

5x Devastators w/ 2x Heavy Bolters and 2x Missile Launchers 120pts
5x Devastators w/ 2x Lascannons and 2x Missile Launchers 140pts

Aegis line 50pts

Everything goes behind the line, the Librarian joins the non Vet Sergeant squad. I figure my missile launchers and lascannons with tank hunter can wreck any cans or eldar pirate ships I see, and they can also menace any big bugs if I go up against the Tyranids.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

U shouldn't split up the devs like that, I think ud be better off with 1 kind of heavy weapon per dev squad, one with all ML, and the other with what you think you need more, against Nids, Orks and Dark Eldar I'd go Heavy Bolters over LC's.

Also with Tacs with Bolter Drill, I'd run them without the grav guns, rerolling the ones with the Bolter. I'd put those points to making the Libby lvl 2.

I have found, even though it does not benefit from tank hunter, thunder-fire cannons, are great at taking out Dark Eldar skimmers. It has an ignore cover, it ordnance so its get 2- d6 to pen. I think its str 5 for the ignore cover. With a libby it can be deadly, with prescience helping it reroll. Also the ignore cover str 5 shots vs orcs will kill them. Its only 100 pts so its very manageable at 750. Also I agree with the above post don't mix and match your heavy weapons.

I highly recommend the thunder fire cannon against what your fighting. Particularly with a libby that can make it re-roll to hit.

Is the point to stop them from crossing the line or to make sure they aren't in your DZ when the game ends to earn the Linebreaker point? If it is the former, you need some heavy shooting. TFC is a very good call.

If it's the latter you're going to need an assault unit that can counter charge and sweep things out of your deployment zone. If a mob of boyz ties up one of your tactical squads in your DZ, you're screwed. I doubt you'll see Mega Nobz or Tyrannofexes so maybe 5 assault terminators with Lightning claws would work. Or some Vanguard vets with power weapons. Up to you, but I would highly advise a counter assault unit because if you get assaulted with your current list, there is 0 chance of you winning your secret objective.

Terminators would be nice, but to add them in I have to drop a dev squad, and either gut the tactical squads or drop the d line. That is a major reduction in firepower to add in 5 terminators.
