Reading through Ork Tankbustas, I saw that you can release bomb squigs while embarked on a transport provided there's a fire point free to shove it through. In the case of open topped transports, they just get released wherever.

My question is that if I roll a 1 when I release the squig, what facing of the transport (being the closest friendly vehicle) would get hit by the squig?

My interpretation is that it'd be relative to the enemy vehicle's position to the transport; however, that's RAI and not RAW. I cannot find a RAW for this specific scenario so I'm curious how others play it or if I am missing it.

It would be the closest side of where you attempt to hit. Say the closest range is from the front thus making it front armor. Or side in the case thats closer. Thats how i played it and everyother ork player i know of.

So for example.....

Tankbustas are in a battlewagon (opened topped) and release a squig towards a rhino that is directly in front of the wagon. I roll a 1, the squig would then hit the front armor of the battlewagon.

If the rhino was to the side of the wagon instead, the squig would then hit the side armor instead.

Correct?

Good to know I've been playing it properly as well for the few times it came up.

Thanks
