Like the title reads i bought a copy of Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader off of ye old auction site for $40 USD. I know I could have read it online somewhere if I wanted but I like to hold my crusty old books in my hands when I read em. Call me old fashioned but sitting on my couch with a beverage and reading a book is one of my favorite things to do. Regardless I dont know if the seller just wanted to unload some extra stuff or was just being awesome check out what came with my book purchase!

1 beat up Rogue Trader actually its in pretty good shape considering all things considered.

Then check out this pile of loots! Its the proverbial ones mans trash...

This is what I poured out of a bag that was inserted with the USPS box.

Then I took all of the loose bitz and filled up a nearly empty bitz box. The only thing I had in there before was a couple of heads and some extra Dark angels bitz.

He even through in what looks like a pile of homemade decals. I through one on my bitz box for fun.

Any of you guys ever read this Fanzine? It looks like its at least a hundred pages long!

Ok one last thing in the box...

But when I open it I sure doesnt look like Imperial Space Marines!

This looks like about 26 metal Star Wars Miniatures! What Star Wars game are these even from? A miniatures game or an RPG? Regardless ill put them to use if I ever get around to playing the RPG.

The final tally is

-1 Rogue Trader rule book( The only thing I paid for)

-22 plastic Space Marines with beak faces.(With a ton of plastic bits to outfit them with)

-10 Metal Space Marines

-8 metal Imperial Guardsmen

-3 Rhinos - I do have a question! Are these older Rhinos much smaller than the current Rhinos? I only recently got into 40k and dont actually own any current Rhinos.

-1 Giant Fanzine

-A stack of homemade decals

-26 Star Wars Miniatures

I thought I would share pics of my loots online. Im pretty stoked about it because I thought I was buying a book but it looks like I bought a restoration project instead.

Let me know your thoughts.

Nice haul.

In answer to your question about the the Mk I Rhinos, yes, they are a little bit smaller than the Mk II:

... okay, I'm being silly. That's my 54mm scale Rhino.

It was difficult to take a picture of a normal Mk I and MkII alongside each other so the size difference could be made out. If you compare to the actual 28mm MKII, the MkI is roughly a centimetre smaller in all directions.

The star wars figures are from a company called Grenadier, later West end Games.

That is a really nice haul from buying a book. About laughed outloud when I saw that rhino conversino pic.

As for the Star Wars figs they were originally made by Grenadeir miniatures and complemented West End Games' Star Wars miniatures game. Initially they were to support the RPG, but then the minigame came out and they started making more generic rebel and imperial troop sets to fill out the ranks for the battles.
