So, I found an offer for a White Scars Army consisting of 32 built bikes with several sergeants. A land raider and 2 drop pods for $390.

Is this a pretty good deal? That many bikes looks aufully impressive. I don't know what to do.

OK

That seems pretty expensive to me, despite the retail value. SM armies don't really hold value well on used market.

Yeah, that's a ton of cheap bikes and they're not painted or even posed particularly well. You'll need to buy special weapons (no grav guns), equip sergeants, add attack bikes, etc. I'd pass.

None of transports even make sense... not a good deal IMO

White Scars are a decent army, but I'd take a pass on this one.

The pieces are built sub-optimally for a White Scars list, and the vehicles are superfluous to a bike army build.

Given all that, 67% of retail is too much to pay for that army. Just my personal opinion on it.

If you're okay with playing as gorddamn Mongorians.

Take a really close and long look at the models in person. If they've all been assembled at a standard that you're happy with, go for it. Savings are savings.

Yeah, I think the rules are to pay about $7 a bike used, about $25 per drop pod, and as low as you can go on a Land Raider.

That might be worth it...
